Friday evening craft club

Show and Tell Friday!
Hosted by Kelli, pop by her blog and join in.

This is my show and tell

A local church holds a monthly craft evening and I was invited to come.

It was an interesting evening and I met up with a few people I hadn't seen in awhile.

We were making Christmas Garlands/Wreaths.

It took two hours and I had to stand to do all the metal tying as sitting down just didn't work. The bows were quite difficult to fix once made as tying them onto the garland proved testing! We had a choice of silver or Gold , we tend to decorate in silver so stuck with that colour.
The garlands are huge and we looked quite an odd bunch leaving the church with garlands tucked under our arms.

Cute pictures of or family dog..Just had to share

Here are some pictures of our family dog Dolly.
Yes I am biased on how cute and pretty she is. She brings us alot of joy and companionship, and is helping me loose some weight with all the walking we do.

Here is a picture of Dolly and my son John and I think its just adorable.

On a Lighter note....

Recently my mobility has been the best it has been for a few years. I am walking relatively long distances ( for me that it!), and enjoying it. Not pain free but its tolerable.
Mentally and physically I feel better, and when I walk I get a chance to take in a small portion of Gods creation. This time of year the colours of trees are stunning! The dog is loving my new found mobility and it will all help shift the weight and get fitter.

I am doing the ladies talk in a few weeks at church and atlast I have settled on a subject and I ask for prayers to help me prepare the message and clearly giving it , as nerves can sometimes make get the better of me.

Craft club

I have been attending a local craft club fortnightly at my local neighbourhood resource centre. Its literally a few minutes walk from my home. I have been really enjoying it , we swap ideas and it is lead my two different ladies alternating between weeks.

They try and get different people to lead and share an idea for crafting when they can. This week I led the class. I did decoupage cards. It seemed to go down well, it was quiet at times , must of been everyone concentrating on crafting! lol

Here is what we did today.

Everyone got given a pack that makes three different cards , atleast one was a christmas themed card.
Everyone had different card , here are just a few examples.

More Male themed cards.

Paper Craft Thursday

Stop by http://www.kellishouse.blogspot.com/ and see what other craft goodies are about.

Here are a few more male type cards. The first one I think is quite British with the red white and blue. They are all 3D which you cannot really see by the picture taken.
Going to do some pretty girly ones next I find them so much easier.
